Joe Walz is a U.S. Army Veteran and small business owner. He was born and raised in Fort Bend County, attended Fort Bend ISD schools his entire childhood, and then enlisted at the age of 17 years old.
After two combat deployments to Iraq, Joe attended Kansas State University and became a commercial helicopter pilot. In 2013 he and his wife moved back to CD22, where Joe started his businesses with his last $300.
Just 5 years later – they bought their little dream home in Harvest Green, located in Richmond, TX. It is here that they recently welcomed their third daughter, Natalia into the world. Joe’s other daughters, Marilynn and Elizabeth attend Bowie Middle School and the eldest will become a Travis Tiger next year.
Joe’s wife Erika is a law enforcement officer and Texas Army National Guard soldier. Joe works a full-time job flying helicopters to offshore oil rigs, manages his businesses, and plays Mr. Mom while his wife is away for military duties.
Joe believes in the Constitution as it was written, the need for fiscal responsibility, and reigning back the powers of Congress to their original constitutional limits as much as possible.
